Anna Hoye

                                            brings visions to life

Anna Hoye has always had a passionate, creative, capable, inspiring, energetic personality. She is a dreamer who enjoys the depth and variety this life offers, finding balance and inspiration with three dynamically different career paths as

photographer, cyanotype teaching artist, and now captain.

With over 30 years as a Professional Photographer beginning with a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the University of Montana, Anna loves getting to collaborate and craft images with her clients. Her photographic perspectives and ability to put subjects at ease inspire an empowered new vision of self, family, or business that’s deeply rewarding,  fostering  confidence and clarity.

Anna's love for traditional photographic processes as well as digital inspired her to begin working with Cyanotype and she has been teaching this blue and white process to students of all ages across the PNW for over ten years. Her students and the teachers she works with are always delighted and embrace the experience, learning willingly the process and creating. Anna has worked with entire schools on both collaborative murals as well as individual prints in two different processes; cyanotype photographs from digital images, and cyanotype photograms from found object negatives. Anna also teaches private in home classes, and offers programs for events of all types, from corporate to summer programming. Shes on the Teaching Artist Rosters of: Young Audiences of Oregon and SW Washington,

Young Audiences of Central Oregon, and The Right Brain Initiative.

When Anna is not teaching or behind a camera she works delivering yachts and sailboats. She has just received her US Coast Guard Certified 50 Ton Masters Captains License and Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement. Anna has been delivering boats from sailboats to super yachts and sailing for work and pleasure for over ten years with her eyes on a lifelong dream to become a captain and sail and boat all around the world. Currently her work is mainly the Pacific Coast from Southern California and up through the Alaskan Inside Passage. Many deliveries are from Portland up to the San Juan Islands and Canada. Anna's first delivery as skipper was in 2016 on a 36' Sailboat from the BVI to Florida. Anna's love of the water has always had her on and in it with her off time spent from sea to summit. She enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, camping in the teardrop trailer she designed and built, biking, hiking, and her favorite winter sport snowboarding!

Anna's a mother to a strong and wonderful adult daughter who she loves spending time with. Her daughter has always supported Anna's grand visions and decisions. Anna has always embraced the experience of motherhood interlacing lessons learned and

social and emotional needs into her teaching.

Anna's integrity, energy, drive, enthusiasm, and capacity make her a wonderful professional choice as

Photographer, Teaching Artist, or Captain.
