The Hoye Process

Look through a new lens of old world processes, develop confidence, curiosity, and foster community.

Anna offers large format collaborations, installations, and independent projects on cyanotype coated paper and fabrics.

CYAN O TYPE means BLUE PRINT, one of the oldest forms of photographic processes dating back to 1842.

Ultraviolet light exposes the monochromatic blue hued images made with iron salts and developed in water.

Thousands of everyday objects take this Cyanotype program to a new level. Choosing from Anna's rich collection of found objects, students create silhouettes from these objects by blocking ultraviolet light on their cyanotype print. Shadows create blue hued tones

against a deep cyan background.

Students become photographers capturing digital images and processing them

digitally as negatives.

Their digital negatives are printed on full size transparency paper.  Students use ultraviolet light to expose their negative onto cyanotype paper and develop it in water creating a

positive cyanotype photograph.

Bring that blue hue into your life and dive into a new approach to traditional Cyanotype Printing at any age!
